The higher the wattage, the faster the oven. • There's only one hard-and-fast rule: Do not buy a microwave without a turntable. • Sensor technology is better than preprogrammed pads because using built-in sensors to adjust power and time based on food moisture levels. Just don't spend extra for them unless know you'll use them. • If you plan to use your microwave for cooking -- not just reheating -- opt for a larger, high-wattage unit.
